You have summed up my own sense of the
silence on the list in the past 3 weeks.
I also have wondered in what way one
might be able to philosophize on the matters.
In other times wars and philosophy must have
gone together --- the difference for us here
and now is the immediacy of the war through
the media.
Perhaps one way in which to start probing
is to look at the reasoning conducted by
the warriors that led us to this situation.
... and the idea of "relativism" sprang to mind ...
