I run the logfile on the console via 'tail'...

And as you see at my account "michelle.konzack" I can have multiple
fetchmailrc. In the last colum you see the error message.

Oh yes, curently I try to enhance my "tdfetchmaiL"...

That what you need can only be done by a wraper script called ba cron.
