Yes - as a quick look at the first couple of paragraphs of the man
page would have told you.

If it's the remote POP3 server you're getting the mail from - that's
normal (at least for my ISP :>) and not a problem.
If it's the mail server your forwarding on to (SMTP) then that isn't a
problem - fetchmail will cope with that too.
