Thomas,
=09Thanks for your input. I am one of the board members left at CCIL
and while it isn't intentional, you are correct in your observations.
Indeed, as I see it, and I am not pulling punches here, there was a huge
rift between the CCIL board of directors and the rest of the organization.
That is a good portion of the reason why things have reached crisis stage.
There were board members who never even used CCIL, never worked or even
spoke with any of the volunteers. A rift began growing and it eventually
grew to an explosive level. We must avoid that happening again, learn from
our mistakes or we will repeat them.
=09CCIL's board used to post it's minutes. To my knowledge the only
reason we stopped is lack of manpower to post them. CCIL has been trying
to do too much with too few people. We don't have anyone in the volunteer
coordinator position to recruit and place new volunteers and we
desperately need this spot filled. We also need someone to help with
accounting because our treasurer resigned. And we need to come up with a
strategic plan to figure out where we go from here. We could also use some
help in community contacts. If anyone is interested in these positions,
please let us know.
Thanks,
Kathy
