Allen,
Without even trying to add services and upgrades, our tech tesm
spends over 20 hours a week just doing routine maintainance and security
updates. These are necessary to keep the system secure from crackers and
other ill-wishers. Sometimes, those updates break something else and that
has to be fixed too. Additional work needs to be done to improve services.
The tech team has been working very hard towards 56K digital access which
will both solve the existing modem problems and provide better dialup
speeds. All this work is necessary. When CCIL decides which direction it
wants to grow, we will have to also look at what services and changes need
to be made to meet those goals. YOu could say that CCIL is in a constant
state of flux! But a good organization is constantly trying to make itself
better. Hope this answers your question.
Cheers,
Kathy
